Tuesday afternoons by appointment run by the Practice Midwife.
Both doctors are fully qualified and trained in all aspects of family planning. Contraceptive services are available during all surgery hours. Cervical smears are organised via a computerised recall system for women aged 25 – 65. These are carried out by the practice nurse or doctor, by appointment.
Full immunisation courses are recommended for all children, unless there is a specific reason for not doing so. Please book an appointment with the practice nurse. The nurse will also advise on health and immunisation for travellers abroad. As soon as your departure dates are known please make an appointment with her. Ideally 8 weeks notice is required to ensure complete cover, but even those departing at short notice can be offered some protection. Some vaccinations are not available on the NHS and may incur a fee
Routine blood tests are carried out at the Stratford Hospital but can be arranged at the medical centre if it is not possible to attend the hospital.
The seasonal flu clinic will commence at the beginning of October. Please telephone the surgery during the first week in October to make your annual appointment.See Newsletter.
